Exploring the World of Astronomy Review

mom-of Masterbooks

This months book for the Moms of Master Books was Exploring the World of Astronomy. As usual Master Books has delivered yet another awesome resource for your children. This could be used as a supplement to you homeschool, as well as just a great read for the members of your family.

Exploring the World of Astronomy Review

The book is laid out wonderfully. It is packed with great information, and at the end of each chapter there is a questions section to quiz your student on what they have learned. Of course, the book is written from a Christian perspective. So, there is no need to worry about hidden agendas or content while your little ones are reading. You can be sure that it is written from a creation outlook.

Exploring the World of Astronomy has 11 chapters that are jam packed with information. Not only did my children learn a lot just from flipping through, but as a mom, I learned a lot of great information as well. We will be using this in our homeschool throughout the year to dive a little deeper into the world of astronomy.

A Simple Plan Homeschool Planner Review

*I was provided a free copy of A Simple Plan in exchange for my honest review

My love for planners is almost as high as my love for curriculum. I have tried several different ones over the years, and have liked them, but there was always something I would want to change about it. When I saw that Mardel was releasing a new planner for homeschool families this year I was so excited!

A Simple Plan Homeschool Planner

There are so many features that are packed into this planner. For starters, it is beautiful. I adore the cover and look of this planner. Who doesn’t love the teal and turquoise color pallet? A Simple Plan is a little thicker than most planners that you find, and that is because of all the goodness that is inside the covers.

One of my favorite features is that it has tabs. It makes skipping around for planning purposes so much more simple. I can find what I need right when I need it. Another very important feature for me was the ability to use this with multiple students. I have 4 that are school age right now and I need to be able to keep track of all our studies in one convenient place. This planner accomodates large families. I will be able to use this even as our family continues to grow. There is a place for up to 6 children, though it has plenty of space and I am sure you could fit more if needed.

A Simple Plan has yearly, monthly, and weekly calendars to help you plan your school year with ease. It also has planning pages for each of your children. You can set their individual goals for each semester, and plan out their curriculum for the year.

You also have monthly and weekly assignment planning pages. You can view your month at a glance, then use the weekly pages for more detailed assignment tracking.

A Simple Plan Homeschool Planner

Of course, what planner would be complete without a place to keep track of all the days of your hard work? The student record pages are a great place to keep track of attendance and also curriculum that you have purchased or still need to purchase.

If you are a pen and paper person like myself, then you will want to pick up a copy of the paper version. However, if you are a more digital person, there is a FREE digital version of A Simple Plan available for you. You can get all of these great features in an online format.

If you are looking for a great planner for your upcoming school year, I highly suggest A Simple Plan from Mardel. You will not be disappointed.
